Default EAGLES NFC EAST CHAMPS

thoughts on the eagles actually winning the nfc east.

They had a bad few minutes against the giants, that is a 2 game swing in the division race. The giants are banged up and the best team they beat probably was the eagles.

FYI i HATE the eagles

The Eagles 2nd half schedule is pretty rough

Wash
Tenn
@Indy
Carolina
@Wash
@NYG
@Dal
Atlanta

The Giants have:

Chicago
@Jax
@Tenn
Dallas
@Carolina
Philly
@New Orleans
@Wash

While the Giants 2nd half is pretty rough also, I don't think it's enough to go to heavy on the Eagles.

FWIW, I'm an Eagles fan.

They're definitely the best team in the division but that schedule is just brutal.

FWIW, I'm completely indifferent towards the Eagles.

That's a big uphill climb; too many things have to happen. The Giants won the division when they won in Dallas IMO.

I think the Bengals have a much better shot to overcome a 2-game deficit at this point because they just have to take care of business at home and get B'more to lose once to Pittsburgh (which they probably will) to win a tie-breaker.

Ravens>>>Eagles>>>Giants>> >>Bengals

I don't think the eagles will be able to do it, but i think they have a better than 4 to 1 shot. (the line)

O'Rly - and what do you base this on besides a very selective distribution of luck?

I hate the giants, but they are better than the eagles. The eagles are joke. And their QB is VASTLY overrated. Not only are they not winning the division they are not making the playoffs.

They will be underdogs on the road against the colts, giants and dallas. They will barely be favored against carolina and atlanta. Those are 5 tough games for a team that alraedy has 4 losses.

If the eagles win 9 games this year they should be happy.

The computer rankings at Football Outsiders seem to indicate that the Eagles aren't far from being the best team in the NFL. Having seen all their games, I can't really disagree with that assessment. The 4-4 record is very misleading and more an indication of bad luck than poor play. McNabb has been lights out in almost every game so I'm not sure where the feeling that he's overrated comes from, other than personal bias.

As to whether they win the division, it would obviously be tough at this point. They dug their own grave earlier by giving away a game against the Giants. Still, I'm inclined to believe that the Eagles could have value, just because the media right now seems to think the Eagles are terrible and the Giants are the next coming.
