Default How to find out if my Graphic Chipset will support...

... this frikkin game.

I tried to find out whether my wife's laptop will be able to run "Anno 1701".
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find out on intels site, the game publisher's site, and various other websites whether her Graphic Chipset will be able to run it.

Her Chipset is:
Mobile Intel 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express Chipset
(It's the 910GML, afaik)

I'm mainly concerned about
a) whether it is compatible with DirectX 9.0c, and
b) if it does have Pixel Shader 1.1 or higher.

It seems as if DX 9.0c shouldn't be a problem (wasn't able to confirm that, though), but I couldn't find out about the Pixel Shader.

Can anyone point me in the right direction, please?

Even if it does have DX9.0C or Pixel Shader 1.1, Intel GMA chipsets can't play crap. Depending on the actual requirements of the game, I would be skeptical.

Ah, thanks a heap buck.
I've been stumbling through intel's pages, but I've missed the link to that.

I can also confirm that while the chip set does support all those features, the performance is horrific.

So, yeah, I guess it's time for a new system for myself if my wife's laptop can't handle that. (Gotta love them excuses to buy a new PC system...)
