Healthy Alcoholic\'s Guide
So I've been working out 4-5 times a week and eating very healthy and haven't seen any real results as far as weight loss goes thus far. I'm starting to suspect it might have something to do with the several cases of beer (albeit light beer) that I consume each weekend. Let's hear some recipies or ideas for the drinker looking to transition from beer to low-carb/low-calorie spirits and mixed drinks.

Re: Healthy Alcoholic\'s Guide
TME, taking drinking out of the diet completly is the best option, but I'm sure you don't want to hear it. The only reason I'm saying it is because I'm sure someone will come along and say you can't lose weight while drinking which isn't true. You will however prob have to take beer almost completly out of the diet. If you are going to have a beer have a becks light or something like it which is 65 calories and pretty low in carbs. I'd recomend finding a mixed drink in which you mix a straight liquor with some sort of zero calorie mixer such and rum/diet coke. While the rum will still have calories it has much less then a normal beer. Just look around at what you can find for your favorite mixers that have zero calories, tonic is a favorite one of mine when I'm trying to cut down on the weight.

[/ QUOTE ] Well, I don't know anything about nutrition really, but what I don't understand is why I could eat fast food twice a day, do no physical activity, AND drink 4 nights a week and stay pretty much the same fat-ass weight, but when I cut out everything besides the drinking I still don't lose any weight. |
