movie looks pretty sick, got pretty amped for it when i saw the trailer. and unlike x-men, the people involved in spiderman have done a really good job thus far:

in the little caption thing though, they say that "Peter Parker must face new challenges such as 'Sandman' and 'Venom' as the elusive superhero Spider-Man in this third installment."

i really don't get this since parker in the black suit isn't venom but venom is eddie brock in the black suit

to those preparing to flame, ok i read comics in my youth before the advent of poker, sue me.

Thomas Haden Church is Sandman

Topher Grace is Eddie Brock. Its believed that Spidey will go out to space and get the venom symbiote and pass it on to Brock.

Rumors are also that there will be Mysterio in this movie, but no word as to who its gonna be so far.

I dunno I'm not claiming to remember all the details, I heard that that's how he got the symbiote. Or maybe John Jameson (aka Wolfman) brings it back from an astronaut mission?

they did a pretty weak job casting topher grace as eddie brock

mysterio as well?? this should be a pretty long movie to work in all these villians and stories but i'm pretty confident they'll do it well. also, i really like the guy who they've cast as harry osbourne and i think he'll make a good green goblin

yea the symbiote was attached to the spaceship of jameson and when he got back from space it eventually found it's way to peter.

btw, john jameson, wolfman?? who is this, never heard of this character?

IIRC the role of Mysterio may just be to set him up for future movies, like they've done with Curt Connors and John Jameson.

I'd really like to see the introduction of more of the Sinister Six. If Mysterio is in this one as well, its only Vulture, Electro, and Kraven to go. Hobgoblin depending on which version of the SS you're looking at.

Carnage would be cool in the future too. Spidey has all the cool villains.

WTF, that's the cartoon origin for the suit, in the comics he got it during the secret wars saga.
