Default caesars vs belagio

the wife and i are takeing a trip to vegas in January. we havnt been in several years and have never been to belagio and have not been to caesars since its been remodelled.

the wife doesnt mind going to vegas as long as we do a nice show each evening and stay in a nice place. we were looking into the bellagio low end rooms for 1300 counting airfare for 4 nights. i came accross caesars and during january they have a special that is 1200 counting airfare for the same nights but they upgrade you to their mid level room.

1)is the caesar mid level room better than the bellagio low end room? or is the bellgio experience worth taking the wife there.
2)as far as comps go we arent high rollers but we will prob blow 1-2k over 5 days in the casino(i dont play poker when im gambling with the wife for fun obviously). i have a friend who gets free invites from caesars all the time for free rooms and swears by their sevice and comps. would we get more bang for our buck by becoming caesars patrons?

3)would we be too low roller to get much special attention from bellagio?

we are looking for a place to start going to several time a year if they mail us free room stuff.

thanks.

you're too low roller to get anything but a buffet from either of those places.

The bellagio room is is a better value for an extra 100. give the hotel clerk a $20 and you just might get upgraded anyways.

I think so, but both my wife and I love Bellagio. If you stay there, it is worth getting a fountain view room for your first visit. Watching the show with the music simulcast into your room is very cool.

Wherever you stay / play make sure ALL your play (especially slots) get tracked obviously.

No.

They won't send the private jet for you, but anyone who drops $1-2K per trip is a valued (and rewarded) customer.

We play in your league and get several offers for free rooms a year.

Caesars rooms are really nice from what I remember. Espescially nice is the bathroom area, which has 2 glass doors opening to the bathroom. I'm not sure if this was the standard room or the high roller room. Despite the niceness of Caesars I love the Bellagio. The rooms are fine and the view of the fountain is amazing. You can open the vent on the window and hear it all. The Bellagio room/view is my favorite (Paris is good too) and I've stayed on every casino on the strip many times.

1-2k over 5 days isn't much at all in the casino's view-not these casinos. Read Comp city for some tricks and make sure that you use your card for everything you do. If you play table games get friendly w/ the pit boss and ask for a food comp. You may or may not get a buffet, but it's worth asking.

I like the Wynn more than either one of those. The Venetian is also nice. I would find out if you can get the poker rate, and then your wife would insist you play to save money on the room.

Stay at TI. If you wife really likes shows the VIP standing area for the Pirate Ship Battle is well worth it.

She will enjoy this show, and it will be free so the wife will be happy and you don't have to spend any dough on her.

I am going to have to respectfully disagree here.

This free show doesnt remotely compare to a regular Vegas show. Not many wives will be happy with this. Staying at TI may be a fine idea, and checking out the show for free is worth every penny, but .....

Also, I havent been by there during the show since last year. The pirates are out and the Sirens are in last I knew..Did they bring the pirates back already??? nah, couldnt be, but people have complained that they should.

I don't know about the rooms but Bellagio is nicer than Caesars over-all. Caesars is still plenty good, though, and since you'll get a better room and especially because your wife will really love the Forum Shops I would stay at Caesars.

Howard... OP said he's looking for a lower priced "high class" room because he's on a budget

Using a Sklansky math equation

Female+ Forum Shops = Another 30 year equity mortgage on the house !!!!!!!

Try to talk your wife into getting a suite downtown it's the same price and the rooms are bigger.

Well, you're right about the Female+Forum Shops part. Every man who brings his woman into that area is in extreme danger of ruin. OTOH, it's good to keep her busy for a long while and he can play in the nearby poker room and try to offset the expense.
