staring into the sun 10/10 uncapped
the game is 10-10 uncapped PLO in the Casino in Amsterdam during the Master Classics of Poker tournament series
I (2.4k) limp along in middle position with 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 7 players limp in total, the BB (~2.2k) - a french player with a preference for men who may or may not remember me from a few months back in paris where i played a weak tight NL HE game in the Club d'Aviation where he is a regular - pots it to 100. He loved doing that and did it regularly. Some fold, I call, the player to my left (600) calls and the players to his left (2.5k) calls. Rest fold. Flop 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (pot = €450). Frech Gay quickly bets 400. The times i've seen him show down good flopped hands he used to point at the pot and say pot with a big smile. He hasn't showdown many bluffs yet but I think that is because they were succesful. This time he smiled when he bet but he didn't pot it. I call his bet to see what the others think about their hand (esp. the deep one) and to see what the turn brings. After my call the other two quickly muck. Turn: T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (pot = €1250) French dude quickly bets 400 again, even though there is some hesitation in his movements. I decide to call his bet since i expect to be ahead often and want to be able to evealute his river action Raising seemed bad because it would fold most worst hands. river 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (pot = €2050) Our villain instapots allin (1.35k more into 2.05k), almost before the rivercard was dealt and starts looking at me as if he is staring into the sun. My move? And... do you play any of the other streets differently? |

Re: staring into the sun
Decision is on the turn..If you call the turn you surely have to call on this river card.

Re: staring into the sun
So, his face is all crinkled up and he's squinting at you?
Thats some expression. And....I would call. If he had the nuts he'd stall a bit more. |

Re: staring into the sun
I'd ship this to the Omaha High forums. I'm pretty sure most of them are going to say pot his ass after his flop bet.

Re: staring into the sun
I'd give advice but I have little to no experiance playing against a gay player, so I doubt it would be helpful.

Re: staring into the sun
He loves to pop it preflop from the BB in PLO? I'm having a tough time avoiding making extremely on-PC comments. However, if he's doing it often, I'm slightly more likely to call here. Obviously the river doesn't change anything, but this seems like more of a read here than anything else. Is he dumb enough to think top set is the nuts?
