Re: Semibluff 100nl
Fold to the flop c/r obv. Queens and tens definitely aren't folding here. You may get underpairs to fold here, but if you really felt the need to semibluff, a flop 3-bet woulda been the place to do it.

Re: Semibluff 100nl
Without reads you need to fold to the flop c/r. You have to be sure he is trying to bluff you, but even if that is the case then your hand is losing to A high unimproved. You took your stab at the pot but he shut you down. You can use the flush card as a scare card, but if you don't have reads then you can't be sure he'll fold to a scare and you are just bleeding money into a pot that you are now only able to win without a showdown. On the turn your bet is a complete bluff.
BTW fold pf. <- Edit |

Re: Semibluff 100nl
I agree with what is said above, if you are calling to hope to hit your hand, you only have 6 clean outs. And even if you get one of your outs, a club could come and beat you. Having said that, once you call on the flop I think you have to take a stab at the pot on the turn hoping that he raised you with trip tens and will be afraid of a flush. But I would bet more, maybe $40, the $20 bet looks weak to me.

Re: Semibluff 100nl
Semibluffing a straight draw on a paired board is a pretty sketchy proposition. You could be drawing dead, or he could have a T which he is probably not folding ever, no matter how hard you rep the flush. Basically you need to fold to the flop raise.

Re: Semibluff 100nl
FWIW, I have no problem with the preflop raise here. It is a bit laggy, but not overly so. The key to this, though, is if you are going to raise hands like J9o, you have to be able to fold post flop.
Raise pf, C-bet with OESD, standard. C/R'd pot...fold. You are chasing the bottom end of a straight on a paired board with a two-flush on it. This is about as bad as a straight draw gets, get away. Realize that your hand is nearly 100% a bluff now if you proceed. If you do call flop/bluff turn, bet a reasonable amount. Even if villain has the Ace or King of clubs here, and doesn't think you have a boat, he is priced in. -Jaxx |

Re: Semibluff 100nl
Preflop is fine.
Flop bet is standard. With no info, fold to the c/r. As played, take the free card. |
