Libertarian Party threw the election to Democrats!!!!
The Libertarian got 10,000 votes in Montana. This threw the election to the Democrat. I was very happy to vote for all the Libertarian candidates on the ballot. I hope that they were all angry poker players!!!!

I'm Libertarian (or at least usually vote Libertarian), but if they don't have a candidate running I always side with Democrats except in very rare cases. Don't think that all Libertarians would've voted Republican otherwise.

Some of the people who voted Libertarian would otherwise have voted Democratic, for other third party candidates, or not voted, so it's not like they took the full 10,000 votes from the Republicans. In this election, they may have gotten some votes from disaffected Republicans who otherwise would have voted Democratic.

[/ QUOTE ] Indeed, but the vote differential is less than 2,000 and historically the 10,000 would split towards the Republicans by a wider margin than that.

I used to vote Libertarian where available, then Republican, but obviously I did a 180 after the bill passed. It seems that many former Libertarian/Republicans have now become Libertarian/Democrats, even putting online gambling aside.
