Iron locked the Fishmeister's post where he postulated that people did not vote for Democrats but rather against Republicans. I think it is a valid point. There were many people pissed off at Republicans (myself included), so that anger definitely helped Republicans win.
What about the posters here? Did you vote for the Democrats or against the Republicans? |

If you voted based mainly on your assessment of each candidate individually as opposed to how your vote might affect the national picture, then this poll wouldn't apply to you. As for myself, I voted straight Democratic this year because I hate George Bush. However, in two years I will probably vote for a Republican president to maintain the gridlock. |
