question about Borat
has anyone read anything about what parts of the movie were staged/faked? i'm wondering about the pamela anderson scene specifically. it seems like there's no way that she wouldn't have had a bunch of security gaurds around her normally.

Re: question about Borat
note: spoilers
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ yeah the pam anderson thing is DEF staged as are a number of other segments of the movie. Wouldn't be surprised if the segment with the college kids picking him up are staged. Obviously all the stuff where he is by himself or with his friend was staged (sitting by the fire burning the magazine). And the part where he bargained to buy a car was definitely staged. I wonder if some of the parts like naked wrestling at the convention was staged; because those are the kinds of things you get arrested for, but he didn't seem to get arrested in the movie. |
And the part where he bargained to buy a car was definitely staged. [/ QUOTE ] Source? Because I read a statement from the car dealer guy that definitely made it clear this was not "staged." |
note: spoilers And the part where he bargained to buy a car was definitely staged. [/ QUOTE ] wrong. I read an interview with the car salesman where he talks about it. It wasnt staged. [ QUOTE ] but he didn't seem to get arrested in the movie. [/ QUOTE ] we have no idea if he got arrested, its called editing. I doubt the pamela thing was staged either (sorry, she aint that good an actress), but apparently she knows Sacha, which is why im sure charges werent pressed. Pretty much any scene that didnt involve Borat and his producer are prolly legit. Why would you think the college scene was staged? I see nothing but authentic with that. |
[ QUOTE ] The pamela anderson scene was definitely staged [/ QUOTE ] source? [/ QUOTE ] Did you see the movie? That's my source. Borat only does interviews in character - so he won't say. Pam says she is "sworn to secrecy" regarding the issue. I think its pretty clear it was staged...... |
