Re: Early small stack shoves. My AK?
i think you definitely reraise to isolate here. your hand is vulnerable, especially oop. your M is around 15 though, so pushing is premature in case someone behind you wakes up with aces. if someone else moves in behind you, you can make your decision from there based on what you know about them, your odds, etc. something around 9000 i'd say is sufficient to discourage other players to come into the hand with you and isolate the all in.

You're getting the right odds to call against that range, but you're also behind in every case but AK. If you fold, you still have plenty of chips and a larger than avg stack. there's no need to put your tournament life on the line where you are clearly behind and have plenty of chips still behind you. |

Re: Early small stack shoves. My AK?
I probably would have pushed but the 9k bet does seem a better idea, just in case the BB goes allin. I would not then call BB if he goes all-in unless he is very loose. I would however call any of the others who might go all-in.
I would definitely not just call. Way too dangerous. |

Re: Early small stack shoves. My AK?
Given the stacks behind, my stack and the relatively small push, I actually quite like a call here. I'm happy to encourage any action behind except from the BB. If I'm not calling a push from BB after I've isoraised, then I don't see the point in isoraising.
