SB is fishy and generally loose-passive, Button is a TAGgish 2p2er.

Pot that river bet. Maybe even push.

oh wait, didn't see that the button called the turn. I guess I like it more now, but I still think you have the best hand and can get a bigger bet called.

It's hard to think about what button has, but if you have been raising a lot I guess his range is wide - he could have 77 or picked up another draw on the turn etc, or have a lot of other hands but a higher pair looks unlikely so, with SB being as you describe, I like it.

No reraise preflop DJ? I'm worried about playing pot OOP vs tag when you both have huge stacks. Why not see where you are, and hopefully get rid of the SB coldcaller.
As played, I take a good stab at Flop and then shut down. |

I don't mind this play, but do you think it would be bad to repop it preflop to 200 or so with the intent to call button's shove DJ? Are you getting away from this if button pots it on the flop?

[/ QUOTE ] 1) button isn't deepstacked, the fishy sb is. 2) why would i want to get rid of sb, he's my fish. 3) relative position doesnt really dictate a flop bet here. 4) button presumably knows that sb is a fish, and will not c-bet light here. |

I don't mind this play, but do you think it would be bad to repop it preflop to 200 or so with the intent to call button's shove DJ? Are you getting away from this if button pots it on the flop? [/ QUOTE ] Normally I probably would repop here, but there were a few things keeping me from it in this situation. Reraising will generally isolate me with the button, which I don't think is the most profitable situation I could get into given that SB is deepstacked and I have position and a big hand. I also don't think I want to put any more chips in here yet against the fish, since we're deep and I don't want to overcommit when he could well have a monster. He did coldcall a 3bet, after all. ---- If button pots the flop, i face a tough decision, but I also get to see how SB reacts before i have to do anything. I've underrepped my hand a little, but I don't think button is betting lighter than JJ/maybe TT/set here though. But if that comes, i'll deal with it. |

This logic makes a lot of sense, having position on the SB, I think makes your play the ideal one. NH and analysis. |
