Did i play these hands v.badly or is it a case as it so often is with limit HE that sometimes the cards just run over you in such a way that involves bad flops, crying calls and ultimately a losing session?

first hand is good

second hand i dont understand why you checked the flop but after that it's fine.

mayber you are a regular poster or a big player but i don't know that so i take you from what i know so far.
how would you have played both these hands donkey or are you just another middle limit amateur. i'm new to 100/200 but have earned the bankroll from the notches just below to warrant my place there. how can you even be bothered to post the above?

??????

If you are going to check flop through on hand 2 (which makes no logical sense at all) you have to be willing to mix it up on the big streets. Losing so much value here in general.

cutom, dd is well respected player and does actually play those stakes too. he is just saying that these are the standard going on's in limit holdem.

on hand2, if the small blind bet into you on the turn after the flop check through what was your plan of action? i would hope raise...

i really dont see a problem with the flop check at all. hes generally way ahead and his opponents are folding without a king. let them catch up on a board where theres very few cards that will beat him.

of course, my standard is to bet bc i like my hand and ppl like to call. at 1-2 ppl tend to be smarter tho and i would imagine even the fish realize that flop hits a lot of heros hands so they will be dissuaded from chasing.

Victor the problem with checking the flop here is that unless both opponents are donks or they percieve our hero to be a major donk it basically tells everyone we hold a big hand that doesnt want to lose their action. Hero is expected to bet here 100% of the time, not betting this perfect board is extremely suspicious and at least 90% of players at this level will pick up on it immediately and proceed with caution, whereas if you bet the flop they tend to proceed with reckless abandon.
