NL200: I beat 1 hand, worth calling AI?
No strong reads on villain. In my mind I'm only beating AQ here, push the turn?

Re: NL200: I beat 1 hand, worth calling AI?
This one is real tough. The flop minraise makes a monster seem so much more likely when he makes a legit turn bet. QQ/JJ seem the most likely here. I suppose AcJc/AcKc are other possible hands you beat he could play like this, but I doubt he semibluffs with a minraise on the monster draws. When playing well this is a quality turn fold.

was comming up with a smart way to avoid this spot .. but couldnt find one. Bet/fold turn sucks as well, gues this one is a fold, even though i hate to make laydowns against this play.

Re: NL200: I beat 1 hand, worth calling AI?
With no reads on villian this is a tough one. I think its weird he doesn't rr with JJ/QQ PF. looks like 55/AcKc/JQs/AQ for me... I think 55/JQs is most likely given his line here. cant see him not rr AcKc pf with that deep stack, and minraising with AQ also seems strange. But once again, without reads this is TOUGH.
Results?!? EDIT: didnt see his minraise preflop until now, I still think 55/JQ is most likely though.. would be a bad call pf but cant see him minraising any other of the hands pf. |

Result:
I folded because I didn't think he had AQ often enough for me to call. The minraise flop just had me convinced he had JJ/KK/AA. |

Reraise enough preflop so they cannot profitably set mine.

You don't think A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], and T9o are capable of making the flop minraise? I see people do this all the time with draws, because they know you're going to slow down...
EDIT: granted when he bets the turn it's MORE likely he has a strong hand, but from villian's perspective you may just be giving up the pot. |

If I cbet then checked the turn then it would seem so. But he raised me off the flop and put a strong bet in on the turn. |

CRAI turn, and he will insta call with AJc, if he has 55 just raise more preflop in the future

Re: NL200: I beat 1 hand, worth calling AI?
just to play devil's advocate.... because this is a tough situation for you with no read on your opponent, i think you coulda come over the top on the flop again with a 3rd bet and made it somewhere in the area of 50, if he comes back over the top of you, you can be pretty sure you are beat and fold only losing 50, instead of guessing on the turn. i just think u need to figure it out on the flop instead of looking at a brick on the turn and having him lead into you because he could be doing this with AQ or even KQ and thinks he has the best hand.
