I was curious as to how big poker is with the under 22 crowd
see back in my day the late 90s nobody I knew played so in your opinion what percentage of high/college kids play more than 10+ hours a week? |

What about people who have tried but gave up quickly about 50% of males between 18-22 would be my guess.

See mabye its just me and it is but it seems that poker is the biggest thing ever this probly because I hang out in a card room all day for the past 4 years and all my friends do the same that I forgot what the real world is about.

I've play well over 10h a week (I'm in college but possibily dropping out because I'm basically pro.. knock on wood)
I played a lot in High School too, as did many of my friends, but only the one who used to play Magic could maintain any sort of bankroll. The others just play small stakes when they have the opportunity, and are losing players. |

From my experience in college, I would say its like 1/500 or so. Maybe I am just bad at finding other players, seems like people play a little for fun, not competitively online.

Serious online players are probably low. The donkish 1/2 live home game players are probably about 30 percent of the age group. Back when I played in this age group all my friends played and most sucked rocks and played for entertainment. This was before the internet boom though. Also our games had tons of wild card games...
