Default Company gave us 1000 shares. If it doesn\'t reach $42 we can\'t sell.

I work for a company that gave us 1000 shares about 6 years ago. Our stock had just went through the roof. It split and was at $42. We got 1000 shares but (a big but) we can only sell it for every dollar over $42 its worth and you have to wait 7 years. It doesn't look like this is going to be a problem since it hasn't been over $42 since we got this. Its currently $36.98. Is there a point that I should sell if it does go over? If it went to $43 i could sell all my shares and get $1000 for example.
