The Perfect Season
The Miami Dolphins are the only team in NFL history to have a perfect season. The Bears were 12-0 in 1985 and the Dolphins were double digit underdogs and beat them. Yesterday, the Dolphins were 13 1/2 pt underdogs against the undefeated Bears and upset them 31-13.
Looking at the Colts schedule, they do have a shot at an undefeated season. They are 8-0, and have a few tough games on the schedule (at Dallas is their only tough road game), but they could be going into the last week of the season 15-0. And who do they play the last week of the season? The Miami Dolphins How awesome would that be if the COlts were 15-0, on the verge of history, and then all the '72 Dolphins show up to the game (like they did in 85 against the Bears) and then the Miami Dolphins upset the Colts to stop their coveted record from being broken I hope it happens |

Re: The Perfect Season
I just hope they don't put Jim Sorgi in in the 1st quarter when they get to 14 or 15 and 0.

Re: The Perfect Season
I hope the colts do it because I am tired of listing to dolphin fans talk about it. Quit living in the past.

Re: The Perfect Season
Dungy proved last year that he doesn't care about the perfect season. He'd rather rest his stars for the playoffs. Same thing will happen this year.
Plus, this year's Colts team isn't as good as last year's. Particularly in defensive area, but also in the rushing game. |

Re: The Perfect Season
Rushing game wasn't that great last year. This year it's comparable actually. Do they honestly want to go in cold like they did last year only to lose to a Pittsburgh team. I think another plan needs to be in order cause it obviously backfired last year. They looked horrible in the first half of the division game.

[/ QUOTE ] Dungy didn't prove this last year until after the Colts lost a game. The Colts had already wrapped up home field advantage before the SD game and they still played their starters. |

Worked perfectly. |

Re: The Perfect Season
I hope your right but if I were Dungy I wouldn't want a repeat performance of last year. 4 weeks off for your starters it's way too long of a break. The hottest team wins in the playoffs most years, not the best one all season.

Re: The Perfect Season
I think the best strategy might be a mix of the two, ie playing your starters for the first half. My .02.
