Default calling down on a double paired board with ace high---no reads

15/30 game poker stars...

hero is on the button with A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

folded to High-jack who raises...hero 3 bets. folded back to to highjack who calls.

flop: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
villain bets, hero calls

turn: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
villain bets, hero calls

turn: 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
villain bets, hero calls

thoughts please?!?!? standard?

I'd consider raising the turn. 2 bets either way, you can safely fold to a 3 bet. You'll check the river behind(unless you feel good about catching a jack).

Agreed. You've got to raise the turn here. No need to let him draw to his 6 outs for cheap. (obv) check behind on the river.

It depends on the player, but I'd probably raise the flop and bet the turn in position. It gets you to showdown cheaper and folds a lot of hands that you don't want drawing against you.

Do you think he gives you a 6 or a 4 after you 3-bet him preflop? If you raise the turn, it looks you're very likely to be raise/folding, so he might just follow through on a bluff.
