A7s backdoors NF on paired board. 200$ NL
Party Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $1/$2 6 players Converter Stack sizes: Hero: $431.05 UTG+1: $350.90 CO: $199.30 Button: $192 SB: $220.14 BB: $242.41 Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG with 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Hero raises to $8, UTG+1 folds, CO calls, Button folds, SB calls, BB folds. Flop: T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($26, 3 players) SB checks, Hero bets $22, CO calls, SB folds. Turn: 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($70, 2 players) Hero bets $44, CO calls. River: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($158, 2 players) Hero raises all-in $357.05 The pot is not 70$ on the turn. It is described as 67 bc of the rake. This makes a difference imo psychologically. If pot was 7x I think this is harder. My line was to bet/fold on the turn. Is there any alternative way which I can play this, or should I bet less on the river? His line seems to be a ten of some kind. Opponent was an extremely bad TAG with something like 19/5. I cannot say why he was bad, but I was never impressed with anything he did. Is my line fine? |

you're going to call an all-in by him if he bets. and he's going to call any bet from you with a ten.
so it seems a standard value push on river. |

Against a passive opponent, betting the turn is fine. If you get raised on the turn you'll have to dump your hand if you're not getting priced in though. On the river I'd likely just make a small value bet.

I don't like the turn bet... no value, you're not really blocking very often, and you'll often get raised off your draw.

Re: A7s backdoors NF on paired board. 200$ NL
Thing is, if he raises me I might suspect a FH (even though very unlikely since I have a 7).
Are you sure there is no value here, he most oftenly wont raise me, and he might fold mid pocket pairs (which I don't know whether they are in his range or not) I was thinking about a turn CR, but I figured that I probably would only get myself in with very low equity, and based on this I instead intended to b/f in order to not be hit by a fh. |
