Default CAZ 20/40 98 in big blind

Tattoo guy limps EP. My read on tattoo guy is LAG. Plays far to many hands up front and is very aggressive on the flop.

2 more limpers

Victor(dealer) good player limps. I've seen him wait till turn to raise TPTK many times. Also seen him bluff raise turn in position.

sb completes
hero checks 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

flop: A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

hero checks
tattoo guy bets
2 limpers fold
Victor calls
hero calls

turn A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

hero checks
tattoo guy bets
victor raises
hero?

Against anyone else on the table I would auto-muck but I felt that tattoo guy could have anything here, and Victor and I both know this, therefore Victor could be making a very thin value raise.

Whats my play?
How many times am I good here?
Different line?
Comments on all streets welcome.

ok, there is no way in hell you are folding this hand. Just what are you putting him on? Fine a set ot 5s, 9s are possible, but so is T9,89,A2,97,56,etc etc. He has position on tattoo, so its not like this has to be "for value", he could be raising to force you out and take a "free" showdown. Personally, I like a 3bet. It shuts out a bunch of drawing hands (even if it is just T9) and you won't get raised because he doesn't have 67. It may cost you an extra bet, but you're good here enough and gain enough value to make it a clear three bet.

Given your description of the players & situation,a 3-bet has got to be right, imo.

You know Victor's play, but maybe tatoo guy dosn't know it.Your 3-bet will look very strong to him.If tatoo has an A in his hand,he has 8 outs on you.I think you want him gone.

This move will also probably get you a free showdown on the river,if you desire.

3 town. Victor could easily have Ax or 9x hoping to knock you out and get it HU with the garbage tattoo guy.

Ok, so I called and tattoo guy called.

River: 7h

I check
Tattoo guy bets
Victor calls
I fold

At this point was when I wished I had 3-bet the turn.

I just hated the way this hand played out, cause I don't like to call 2 cold and I couldn't get myself to raise.

What do you think about leading the turn?
