Teach me how to RAND / COUNTIF a WW game.

As a matter of fact I'm suprised tha there isn't a sticky at eth top explaining to a n00b mod wannabe how to do it...

SO - I know how the game works. I know how EXCEL works (and yes, I know that COUNTIF is a function).

Does anyone have any good templates? Post em up!

for rand, just put each person's name in a column in excel

then in column b next to first player, put =rand()

copy/paste that cell into all the other bs for each player...then copy those and paste special->values...then sort ascending/descending...u can make highest wolves and lowest seer, or whatever other scheme u decide on

several people have countif spreadsheets; i have a countif access database file for those who have access; it has dropdown menus and color codes the top vote getter and the 2nd place vote getters

You might want to look at this thread where I played around with some color tags and so forth. The simple version is a LOT simpler, though.
In that thread, fnord pointed out google spreadsheets as a possible way to share spreadsheets. I can share a google spreadsheet version plain countif I have if you like.
Basically, you just want the vote column to be
countif(<range where the votes are typed in>, <cell of the player name&gt, and a column for all the players, and a column for who they voted for, and some text inbetween like "voted for" or even just "--", which I've been preferring to use lately. The use of color tags never really took off, and makes the spreadsheet hard to read for the Mod, so I don't really recommend it until you're used to being a Mod for a while. I'm about the worst Mod there is, though, so take any Mod advice I have with a grain of salt.

I threw one up on google documents, it should be editable by anyone.

just put the names in the players and resort by rand.
