I would only bet against an opponent like this if there were a flush draw on the flop.

You have to be worried about medium pairs, a slowplay or a bluff checkraise. I think he is most likely 3betting a nine on the flop. However you are hoping for an acehigh here, and he may very likely 3bet flop or raise turn with these hands some of the time.

I guess, I'm saying: "Meh, I dunno, maybe".

for me it's easier since he knows I am ultrapushy with even gutshots he wont be able to fold unless an 8, T, or K falls...

yeah, itīs a valuebet, somewhat close though. The more aggro he is, the more likely you should be to bet here as he plays second and third pair harder then.
