FTP\'s Razz \"last hand\" history
This is a noob question. When I play Razz on FTP and the hand is over, if I click the "Last Hand" button to see what my opponents showed down, it often shuffles down cards. Because of this, I can't tell for sure what my opponents had on 3rd. st.
What method does FTP use when displaying showdown hands? I don't know a whole lot about stud either so maybe this is a technique for stud games. Any help is appreciated. |

Re: FTP\'s Razz \"last hand\" history
I think they only move around the cards that show at the table. The cards in the last hand window are shown in the order they're dealt.

They shuffle the hole cards, presumably so as not to reveal information a player wouldn't have to reveal live.
I once posted a stud/8 hand form their HORSE tournament where I capped on 3rd against one of their name pros with 5AA against 345 and we split the pot. The shuffled cards made it look like he was 3-betting with junk. |

I asked Keith Sexton why they shuffle hole cards, he said since you have no idea what a player started with Live, why should you online? Good point Keith.

Yes, FTP shuffles the hole cards in their stud games and, as best as I can determine, re-arranges them in order from highest card to lowest card, left to right. I believe this is also true for Razz.

[/ QUOTE ] I'm strictly an on-line player, but this statement about live play surprised me. Live, at showdown, is it common for a player to shuffle his hole cards so that you cannot see the order in which he got them? |

Re: FTP\'s Razz \"last hand\" history
Live, you sometimes have to worry that someone's UPCARDS are displayed in the wrong order, and certainly their down cards will be shuffled if they so choose. You might be surprised how many people don't shuffle them though.

Absolutely standard. Many folks mix their river card in before looking at it.

Play enough hands and you can see they are arranged that way every time. In razz, aces are placed last, though. edit: They aren't "shuffled", they are arranged. |
