good looking women = prop players??
I haven't been in B&M casino in a long time but is the statement below true?
JAque Quote: (from another forum) There are more (or at least were) more prop players at live casinos than online casinos. The reasoning behind this was before poker was as big as it is now, poker rooms at casinos were rarely full. Generally, casinos pick good looking women to be prop players and most of them have relatively good knowledge of the game. Other times, off duty poker dealers will be asked to play as prop players. |

Re: good looking women = prop players??
I think your source may have 2 facts confused. In the old days, casinos used to use good looking women as baccarat shills, as people were hesitant to open up a dead baccarat game. The shill would just bet table minimum, and if she ran out of chips, would get another stack from the dealer and continue to play.
A prop player in poker is a completely different animal. |

Re: good looking women = prop players??
From what I've seen, most of the B&M props are old retired guys. There are many dealers who play and have to wear their badge when playing, don't confuse them with the props.
