Playing for it then backing out like a little girl
2/4 6max
Hero plays like 30/25 on several of villians tables. Have tangled a bit, and I've had the best of it (c/r bluffs have worked, floats have worked etc) so far. Until this hand. Villian plays 10/20 and frankly I don't know what hes doing down here in my back yard. Has reraised me several times preflop. He is running about 24/14 Anyway, villian opens on CO to usual 16. I have A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] on button, make it 50, villian calls fast. We have about 450 behind. Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (pot 100) Villian checks, I check obviously, eliminating blanks from my range. Turn: 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (pot 100) Villian checks, I check. I guess my range to him is now AK/AQ,KK,QQ,JJ or so River: 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (pot 100, 380 behind) He checks. Bleh. Now what. Value bet obviously isnt there unless its tiny, but thats kind of transparent. Hero bets 12 with the intention of calling a raise. Villian raises, quickly, allin - 370 to call into a pot of 500. I time out and fold for 3 reasons: 1) We have history and he knows this is suspicous 2) It looks like I played for a c/r and the large amount suggests that if any of my range will call, it will call any amount, so he's maximising. 3) The speed at which he c/red I felt like a total idiot |
