Default Absinthe

Please can someone tell me why, in the USA absinthe is not served?

I am in Vegas soon, and I think my body will die without it's staple food.

Because the Pujol or whatever the chemical that makes your hallucinate in it is illegal.

How else do you think post-impressionism was founded?

They serve it at a few bars here in Thailand. I never tried it though. I doubt its very powerful.
