How often are you wrong about a girl/woman liking you?

In discussing with a friend, we came to a disagreement...

My particular situation;
- girl that works where I do (rarely see her, she gets coinage from me and gives me her keys when she leaves)
- generally, I would consider her out of my league
- how she smiles at me, her body language and how she talks to me screams (to me, at least) otherwise

Now, I say that it is really, really easy to misread girls. I am definitely not a "PUA" and am very passive with girls (I have asked one girl out in my life, but have been out with more than that). I contend that it is easy to mistake kindness for more.

Life isn't poker, but I ignore what I always say in the uSNL forum; when someone is trying to tell you something, don't ignore it (which is very applicable to uSNL).

Now, my 2 friends (who both aren't very aggro with women, however more so than me). They each say that in the times that they've read women as showing interest, they were always right.

How often are you wrong? How often do you think a girl is digging you, just to be shot down?

For a short period? Probably a good number of times. But very rarley am I wrong when I believe this for an extended period of time.

The problem for me is not recognizing it, its acting on it. You would think it'd be easy, since anything you say to the girl shell respond, but I usually find it a bit awkward.

I tend to think that a girl doesn't like me at all, when it turns out she does, a whole lot more than I think she does like me, and it turns out she doesn't.

I think that it is important to stress that there often are a pretty clear difference between a women liking you (as in friend), and a women really liking you (as in relationship/sex). We are talking about the relationship/sex thing, righ?

Advice on your situation:
Try sending her some signals, watch how she responds.
If you have already done this, then what are you waiting for?

Answer to your question:
I think that women will flirt ond otherwise show affection for guys, without actually intending to go any further. This is some ego thing, a bit like when guys brag about how many women they have slept with.

All this is sooooo sitiatuion dependent, and I have absolutely no idea about what I'm talking about, so you might aswell sit down, and think long and hard about how many yards you are from the nearest power plant. If there are a 5 in the number, she is pulling your leg, if not, she really likes you.

Your situation: she doesnt like you, shes just being friendly, but chances are you still have a shot unless youve cracked some stupid joke about "coinage."

Mine: i have a really good record, thoguh small sample size. also, im not talking about a banging a woman, im talking about a legitimate relationshi, which I am 100% against at our age, or any age for that matter.

But to me, its pretty obvious when a girl likes you, if you THINK shes interested, shes probably not... but then again, every guy has a shot with almost every girl.
