Re: $5 hu shootout: bad call?
Chances are you are beat here. In low-limit games like this one, it is very rare to find an opponent to play back at you. I've been learning this the hard way myself lately, but I've found that when they check-raise All-in, they can beat my Top pair. Furthermore, you will have around 25 bb's left if you fold, which is more than enough chips to still be able to play your game. I like a fold, but admittedly, I make this kind of call a lot, and I am finding out that it's not going to be profitable, as it is very rarely a bluff.

Re: $5 hu shootout: bad call?
Sorry, I initially read the hand wrong. With this many chips committed I would not fold. From my experience, the majority of HU $5 players are uber aggressive tards. I noticed I was making a mistake by folding too many made hands in big pots againts these players. You may have been WB the entire time, but I think you'll see some type of draw or weaker pair often enough here. Do you know if this player if profitable?

I vote call... but offer him a side bet of $100,000 dollars first.

Re: $5 hu shootout: bad call?
I would expect so see two pair with a six here -- Q6 or K6. Its ugly, but you are beating much here. Your aggression is fine, but I like to play small pots before I have a read on my opponent.
