PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t400 with t25 antes (4 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com
CO (t960) Button (t3555) SB (t6730) Hero (t2255) Preflop: Hero is in BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="gray">CO folds</font>, <font color="gray">Button folds</font>, <font color="red">SB raises to t2400</font> No reads, I assumed SB was pushing too small a range, but I still doubt it's anything less than 40%. Is CO short enough to really influence our decision?

How can you have no reads at all? It all comes down to what range you give him really, it's as simple as that. He obv should be pushing 100% here, but I guess he's probably pushing wide enough for you to call here.

If the two big stacks have been abusing the bubble, now might be a chance to take a stand. If not, you may pass on this and steal when CO is in the blinds. Put the penis away, it's -EV.

you guys really think this is -ev? if the cut off doubles up once he would now be ahead of you after the blinds go threw. I dont think there is any way i could find a fold here. You really arnt that safe yet to assume the SB is gonna go out before you.

I lean towards call for two reasons:
1) There's a reason he typed in an amount and didn't just move the slider. What's that reason? 2) CO is close enough to 1/2 your stack size to pose a threat. We've all seen the shorty call the big stacks 75o push and double up leaving us tied for desperate wishing we had JJ again.

I don't have sngpt in front of me, but my money says this is a call across most reasonable ranges... the trouble is I bet you are exiting the tourney at least 30% of the time on the call. Ugh. I think I would sometimes fold this and pick on the two stacks in front of me. When hero is in the button, the small stack isn't likely to call too terribly much if we push ( and the bb would probably fold too). I don't know. I think half the time i curse and call, half the time i curse and fold.

calling here is such a EV- which cannot even be considered.
on the bubble I call with AA or KK only against chip leader's push when there is a short stack with M=1.3!!! To eb successful in SNG you need to look at you ROI and bubbling is certainly the best move to have a negative one! whoever insists that a call is a good play please explain.

LOL - SB has to be a really tight nit for this to be -EV. If he is pushing more than 33+,A5o+,A2s+,KQo,KTs+, which he surely is calling here is +EV. In fact, if he was pushing 100% as he should be, calling is actually a MASSIVE +3.7% EV. Which, if you fold in a $27 is basically losing yourself $8. +ROI move? Hmmm.
Basically, if you think he's pushing more than 30% you really should be calling here. UTG has 2xBB, he is certainly not guaranteed to bust before you.
