57s, rather deep stacked , $200 buy in Live MTT
I have 30k in the co w/ 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], it is folded me. I make it 150 at 25/50, fold to the SB who calls, as does the BB.
Player Notes: SB: 15k. a tight, rather unimaginative player who rarley gets out of line. The last hand he played he raised KK in the CO, took the pot, and showed his hand in disgust of the action he was receiving. BB: 45k. a loose/agressive player, who rarley stays in line. He has won the last 3 pots on c-bets and flop raises, 2 of those he shown as bluffs. The flop comes 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] SB checks, BB leads for 250, Hero? I'll go one street at a time. If I get some responses I'll then post the action for the turn and river. |

you and BB are both extremely deep, making calling or raising ok provided you have a plan for the hand.

Given the description of BB, I like a call here.

guess I'll bite and say raise to 1k, i might even 4-bet if BB 3-bets to 5k or less. my 4-bet is probably all in though. not sure if that is what you really want here, my guess is not.
calling is the more conservative play here IMO. |

yeah the debate here is obviously whether to call or raise.
the big issue with a raise, atleast for me at the time, was that i had no info on him once someone showed resistance. i know he was taking stabs at pots, but i dont know if i raise here how often he'll 3 bet me big on a bluff and put me to the test. and he's the type who will double barrel, so obviously that benefits a call. i dont think raising here is bad, though, and id love to here more responses on the pros and cons of each. |

I call with a plan to re-raise almost any bet from villain on the turn. If he has nothing and you bet out then you'll fold him out here and win a small pot. There's a reasonable chance that this flop missed him completely, so by calling you'll give him a chance to try again, and your draw is strong enough to handle the action against a player who might simply be trying to push you off.
Of course, if he really has something and you miss then you'll lose a lot of chips, but this will happen anyway if you raise now. At least by calling you'll get a chance to get more chips in the the pot if he really has no hand. |

I like the call rather than raise. Yes it is the most conservative line but no one has mentioned the SB who may be slowplaying a monster just waiting for the chance to check raise because of the lack of action that he has gotten. play slow and hope for a black 6 on the turn.

bump it to 750. Can't let SB stay in with a diamond draw.
if SB folds and BB calls - bet or raise the turn pretty much regardless of what hits the board. It will be either a contuniation of the flop semi or a Shania bet. |
