Strip clubs make me depressed - does anyone else feel like this?
I realize I am probably going to get lynched for this comment, but here goes: The first time I went to a strip club it was awesome, not as good as I had imagined, but good. It was fun, naked girls are awesome and I was with a fun group of girls and guys. I've probably been to a strip club 4-5 more times after this first one. Each time it is progressively worse. They depress me. The entire set up, the girls, the music, everything. It is entirely possible I could be going to bad strip clubs, or maybe with the wrong group, but it shouldn't really make a difference which friends I am going with, it doesn't really matter, it's more the idea. I don't know.
Does anyone ever think about this?

Last one I went to (last thursday) - I had a girl fall in love with me and not allow me to pay for dances...and insist that we meet up at some point... Swedish...definite 8... I think I'll try to fit her in... Vava

They are depressing places if you dont go with a bunch of people who are out to go crazy and have a good time. If you go with like 3 guys, and you all just sit there sipping drinks, and not doing much, ya, its depressing

If the mercenary, impersonal nature of that transaction bothers you, then yeah, strip clubs will depress you. If not, then you only need one person and some mad money.

I hear what you're saying. I found them strange the first couple of times. A friend of mine pointed out "Look, you feeling dirty about it makes everybody less happy. It makes the strippers uncomfortable, it makes you uncomfortable. Just act friendly, like this is all completely normal, and things are better."
I'm still not a huge fan, but it's not like I can't stand them when people I know are going out (which is pretty rarely.) One thing that is still true is that I've never found strip clubs to be erotic as much as I find them an interesting venue for creating stories.
