Default Lays down JJ PF

No reason to believe villain is anything other than a solid player - except that this is $4.40, so anyone could go on a donk.

I just think I'm seeing QQ+ too often here. Does anyone smooth call with my jacks?

i call sometimes, but maybe because it's only $4 and i get extra call-y.

your reraise looks too big though.

What is he supposed to do, play it for set value? (Not that I disagree, there are merits to that with a raise and 2 callers...)

Seems to me UTG+1 might actually be a solid player, didn't like the 2 callers and a reraise, and decided to shove his 99-TT, QQ+, AKs.

That was my thinking, and against that range I made the laydown.

He showed aces, of course.

I just call from the blinds here. I'd re-raise if I felt that I could get the hand heads up or take it down preflop. But let's face facts: a re-raise in a 4/180 has very little chance of making your opponents fold preflop. So, it is best to call.

Why raising to 540?
Far too big raise, UTG+1, unless is a pure donk, is saying he has a hand, you can smooth call since you have not position, what's the point of a raise here?
If he is ready to gamble with AK you don't want him to see the whole 5 cards at once!

I think I might just call here. HU, I'm happy to re-pop, but with two callers in between, any respectable raise will bloat the crap out of the pot, and make it hard to play OOP if you get called (and you will get called).

QQ, yeah, hit it again.
