Default *** Official Week 9 FF Thread ***

Hope it's not too early. Westbrook is on a bye so it leaves me in a bit of a RB controversy.

I have T. Bell and S. Alexander in my roster. Who should I start?

Edit: I mean T. Bell @ Pitts, or either Bell.

T. Bell against Denver? I'd stay away from both Bell's vs. Pittsburgh. Alexander is an easy start if he plays, big if of course. Don't like the matchups for henry or Lundy or Jones-Drew or McAllister; so I'd go w/ Green or T. Jones. WTF is with all those option anyway?

Mike Bell will undoubtably be the hottest WW pickup this week. I think I'm going to dump Leon Washington after his disppointing game in Cleveland. Should I pick up him or Laurence Maroney? Or just whoever plays the Jets?

Since Jets are on bye, I would definately stick with Maroney vs IND. Colts gave up another 227 rushing yards against Broncos today. However, he shares a backfield with Dillon.

Both are FA in my league, maybe I shouldn't risk it and just start both of them.

By "him" I meant Mike Bell not Leon - I already have Tatum & Leon to go w/ McGahee fwiw. Yeah, obv. Maroney is the best option this week, but I'm wondering about long-term. Perhaps this week is long-term since I'm 4-4.

Just picked up Mike Bell off of waivers. I start two and don't think either spot is a clear cut decision. I think matchups knock Henry and Bell out easily, but I am up in the air about the rest. Gore was promising against Chi despite a fumble, but his matchup isn't any better this week with Min as the #1 rush defense. Jones is always a question with Barber vulturing TDs, but he ran well against Phi and hopefully Was is still banged up. Not sure what to think about Drew. He ended with a decent amount of carries and 70 yards, but most of that was after Fred Taylor got banged up and had to leave the game. Taylor is available on the WW, do I move for him and start? Ahman looks like he has the most promise for this week so far. 2TDs and 100+ against a bad Arizona D and from what I can tell Buf isn't much better

Fred Taylor? Pick him up, he looked great yesterday. A minor cramp in his hamstring and got the wind knocked out of him is what it looked like. He will be fine.

I got another easy matchup my Cash League, hopefully I win to maintain #1 in the league. Currently 7-1 (I already won this weeks).

QB-Peyton-Last week I was concerned about going into Denver, this week similar concerns but he didn't look phased at all this week. Only alternatives are Brad Johnson vs 9ers, Seneca Wallace vs Oak on the WW. I think I'll stick with the MVP. Yes I said MVP boys, McNabb has been fading out.

WR1-Roy Williams vs Atl
WR2-J. Horn vs TB
WR3-L. Evans vs GB
or Walker @ Pit
or Ma. Robinson vs Niners (ww)
or Henry vs Bal (ww)
or Furry vs Atl (ww)
or Jenkins vs Det (WW)

RB1-F. Gore vs Min (I'm not sure about this)
RB2-T. Bell @ Pit
or C. Williams vs NO
or A. Green vs Buf (leaning heavy towards him)
or M. Bell @ Pit
or B. Jacobs vs Hou (ww)

TE-Gates vs Cle- No Qualms here
K-Gould vs Miami
Def-Chi vs Miami

I'm thinking Lee Evans for the first but Walker might work. I'm thinking Gore and Green for the RBs. Is there any word on Tatum or Mike Bell. Even so, I hate playing in Pittsburgh although Tatum has been effective against good run Ds this year (see the Ravens game).
