Neteller NEW cards crappy and a pain to activate
If you are in the US, you probably will receive the new ATM/Debit cards.
First. If you have funds in your old card, don't bother calling the verification toll free number on the card. To transfer the funds from old to new , you need to call Neteller. The toll free number will tell you that your SS and birthdate don't match. Wait time +20min. Second: The new cards STILL don't have your name on them. Many merchants will not accept them without a name. Third: The passcode and pin numbers are STILL ONLY 4 digits long (at least it should be a choice). JAque |

Re: Neteller NEW cards crappy and a pain to activate
Yes, it is a pain but we ahould be grateful to still have them.
Please note that they're not called debit cards anymore, but prepaid cards. Is Neteller changing the language in order to stay in the American market? When you activate your card, they tell you to call Neteller, because they don't have your info. When I called Neteller, the nice lady seemed to imply it's a new provider, even though the name of the bank is the same. I think we should be very patient with Neteller - they're doing everything they can to weather the storm. |

Re: Neteller NEW cards crappy and a pain to activate
I think they are going to run rabbits once the enforcement rules are in place. I called and asked them if they stop accepting gambling sites transactions for US customers, will they allow the accounts to be active for other things. Their response was " bla bla what is in the best interest of the shareholders bla bla" . At this stage they are not sure if they will allow US customers to have accounts all. Strange..

I got mine.
What's the difference? It looks exactly like the old one. |

Re: Neteller NEW cards crappy and a pain to activate
Just setup your neteller account to your local checking account.
Have neteller wire the funds to your checking account (which takes like 24 hrs) and just use your local bank's Visa debit card. Soooo much easier. |

Re: Neteller NEW cards crappy and a pain to activate
It takes 3-5 business days for the funds to hit your checking account, 15 minutes for your Neteller card. And some people would prefer not to have it recorded on their bank statements, not so much to avoid taxes, but for privacy.

I don't know what the cutoff time is for neteller (seems pretty early now that I am back on the west coast) but if you cashout in the morning it posts to the bank that night. If it is taking longer than that the bank is doing something when they receive the transfer. |

[/ QUOTE ] This has been discussed ad nauseam, but sending the money to your NETeller card in no way helps you avoid taxes. |
