I'm even starting to dislike the river fold the more I think about it. Double the stakes and I forget everything I learned before. Any help welcome.

You potted the flop, what else can you hope for, your decision is on turn - whether to raise or just call. In this spot, I guess calling is fine sine MP could have a variety of holdings, but i'd be more apt to believe in 65 type of hand on that spot. Either way, I think calling is fine. River he bests a bit over half the pot when all you can beat is that 65. I think this is probably a good laydown.

On the other hand, I don't like playing these hands preflop anyway. Even though you're getting 5-to-1, the hand is just the type that will get you into a lot of trouble and I'd probably be my weaktight self and fold it. (And I play 23/15 in 6-max... don't do full ring)

I've never played 6-max. I might give it a go at NL25 (well, 5-max on that network) before trying 100FR again. It might get me used to these situations (2 and 3 handed on the flop) and freshen up my game, get some aggression going.
My NL25 FR was all about five to the flop fairly cheaply and see what happens. Maybe the A3o isn't so hot with fewer REALLY terrible players at the table.
I really think I've played 100k hands without learning very much at all [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]
But it's given me a roll and a few toys.

Myea, 6-max you actually get to play poker and it's also a very good learning experience, even if you're going to specialize in full ring. Teaches a lot about hand reading and stuff.

I would say that MP3 is holding better A than you. He propably sensed some weakness of your smallish turn bet and desided to reraise and when you checked the river (correctly so) he was certain that he's got you beat. You can't beat anything he's holding, so fold.
