i'm going to be there. still haven't decided if I'm going to play or not. from what I understand there are two flights and you can play in both if you want. Seems kind of like a weird format.

Just posted similar thread in MTT Community. 1st round like a single table speed sat. 2nd round really just a 2nd 1st round flight. Finals is a normal freezeout. Also a bit speedy if they don't use auto-shufflers (50 minute rounds).

Just out of curiosity, why would any tourney not use autoshufflers if possible? Either use them and make blinds go up even faster, or don't. I just don't get why they wouldn't use the technology if they have it.

Nobody's going to play in them, please don't make me work eight days in a row.

We don't have shufflers in the tournament room because we have an entirely seperate room for the donkament with seperate tables, and Foxwoods didn't want to pay for all those shufflers for that short period of time. You can't really blame them either.

Just for the noobs among us who are (stupidly) considering entering one of these opportunities to convert money to history:

Where's the tournament room going to be, where does one go to sign up, when do the sign-ups generally start, etc?

It all takes place in the Sunset Ballroom. Umm... I don't know where anything is but the poker room, but the ballroom is like... if you leave rainmaker square to go to Ben And Jerry's you'll pass a set of escalators on your left, go down them and the ballroom is right around there.

More obscure direction:
Go to rainmaker square, go to the indian and push his left foot, the trap door is now open for three minutes. Run to the other end of the casino and dive through the trap door head first, you will fall for about 30 seconds and land in a soft comfortable foam pit. It will be pitch black, shout "Can you see what I see?" and a light will turn on. Swim to the bottom of the foam and you will see a level. Pull the lever and the bottom of the room you are in will fall out beneath you. When you land you will be in the sunset ballroom. To leave the ballroom just go out the side door.
