Sorry if this info is somewhere else on the site, I'm kind of new - point me in the right direction sharks . . .
Anyway, I was just wondering if you guys had any input on bankrolls. I know most of the books say 15 times or 20 times the max buy-in for no-limit. Is that sound? The max buy-in for 1-2 is usually $200. So having $3000 or $4000 is optimal? Thanks |

From the FAQ posted above:
[ QUOTE ] Q: What's the proper bankroll for each limit? A: General consensus is that a winning player should keep at least 20 buyins for each limit he's playing. Excluding poor beginner play, bad bankroll management is the biggest reason that new players go bust. Do yourself a favor and only play in games you can afford. [/ QUOTE ] |

I think that is overstating it a lot. In my opinion, if you are a good player and playing small no limit games at a casino 10 or 15 is fine. especially if you don't play in detroit and have to pay a 6 dollar session fee every 30 mins.

yeah I feel pretty good with $3000 for my 1-2 No limit game. i was just wondering if anyone was going to say that wasn't big enough or anything. it's pretty sound to me.
