yoren8 ?

The starting pot is 15k. Also, what's hand range do you play from UTG here?

Edited to add: If you're raising less than AI, which parts of your range are you raise/folding?

Raise AJo. Fold ATo, Raise ATs. Raise 88+, raise KQs, fold or call KQo. Fold KJo. Fold or call A9-A8s, fold A7s. fold 77-22. Maybe limp/push AK on occasion.

Raise to 18k, call push from all stacks less than 60k.

Why did the guy who responded to this say to call A8 and A9s, and to call KQo, is this sarcasm?

I'd prob raise 88+, 77 depending on table. AJ+, KQs, and thats it.

Not sarcastic, that's just what I've been doing. I take it you're raising or folding with your stack here? Is is really that bad if you limp these hands? I mean, you don't have to call and you may get a cheap look at the flop because they fear the suspicous UTG limp and you do have some kind of hand when the flop comes.

If the table is aggressive I will fold them, but if it's a limpfest than why not?

AJo UTG... Depends on the table, stack size in relation to others, and depth of tournament. In this case you're on level 24, not exactly an environment suitable for limping UTG with what I would call a marginal hand for your position.

Yo, ae. What do you think about an open shove? The pot is 15% of my stack and I will get a few hands @ the bottoms of my opponents' ranges to fold that they would resteal w/ over an 18k raise.

Thing is, I hate raise/folding when I'm under 20 bbs, because then I am in danger of losing my resteal FE. Thoughts?

There is on hand you can limp here. Im not crazy for raising ATs here, i don't think in these spots suited is really worth anything, its all about kicker.

88+, AJ+, KQs/KQo on tighter tables and 77 as well if tight.

If you raise to 16,000 im calling any stack that shoves under about 60k and laying down to anyone else, though i might sit there thinking for a few seconds like a i have a tougher decesion than calling my stack off with AJ.
