$50NL - Flop bottom pair and NFD. Turn trips. Villain raises.
I'm just getting started in NL after a long run in limit. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Villain has bet draws and made hands identically when in position. He has not played many hands out of position. He has noticed that I do not play a lot of hands, and I usually raise when first in the pot. We have been avoiding each other for about 60 hands. Re: $50NL - Flop bottom pair and NFD. Turn trips. Villain raises.
man this really really really really sucks.
given your read, i doubt we are ahead very often. I suppose this could be TT/88 but im more inclined to put him on 99/55. Theres no hand in his range, other than A2 i guess, that includes a 2, and I think an OP like TT/JJ would raise the flop at the very least. Calling the c/r and folding to a bet on the river is an option, as hes probably not going to bet a PP into you again. Folding here sux bad but his line looks exactly like a set that just filled up meaning you have 1 out. It is remotely possible that he took a wierd line with AA/KK/QQ. How much more information can you give here? has he shown any creativity that you have noticed at all? or is he a very str8 forward player? |

Re: $50NL - Flop bottom pair and NFD. Turn trips. Villain raises.
I agree that 55 and 99 are in villain's range but I don't think we should ever be folding this. He is just as likely to have TT-AA, A9, 95, K2s, 32s 67c, KQc etc. If you have been double barreling a lot at this table then I think this is a ust call. It's too bad you both are kind of deep because with only 100 BB's this would be an insta shove.
As is I still don't think I can fold this. It's close between raising here or calling and letting him fire again on the river. Which you do depends on whether you think he's semi-bluffing a draw or has a hand like TT-AA or something like A9. |

He hasn't gotten way out of line in the 60 hands that I have seen. I have little to no information on his play out of position as he has done it so rarely.

This is a trivally easy push IMO. You are ahead here almost always.

Let's go to the next street...
Flop: ($4.25) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) Turn: ($9.25) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) BB checks, Preytar bets $8, BB raises to $25, Preytar calls $17. River: ($59.25) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) BB bets $51 (All-In), Preytar? Now what? Brian |

Ughhhh, go all in on the turn. Makes the river decision negligble.
