This one kept me from paying attention the rest of philosphy class
You've been captured by a sadistic maniac.
He takes you into a room where he holds 10 other people captured. He gives you a revolver, and tells you that if you do not pick one of these 3. choices within 20 minutes, the 11 of you will all be tortured for a week, and then die. 1. Shoot yourself. 2. Pick one of the other 10, and shoot that person. 3. Shoot everybody but yourself. What would you do and why? I kinda made up my mind, and might eventually reveal what I myself would do. (PS: I know this problem is just sick, and I understand if this post doesn't get any replies.[img]/images/graemlins/crazy.gif[/img])

This one guy in my class though, argued that he thought it would be impossible to pick just one of them, and then look that person in the eyes. And that killing himself was out of the question.
