Default Brilliancy or FPS ?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (5 handed) pokerhand.org hand converter

UTG ($51.50)
MP ($4.45)
Button ($154.80)
SB ($29.50)
Hero ($65.90)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
3 folds, SB completes, Hero raises to $2.5, SB calls $2.

Flop: ($5) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $3, SB calls $3.

Turn: ($11) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $3, SB calls $3.

River: ($17) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $15

The turn bet was designed to induce a CR. Didn't work. However, the rivercard looks like a PERFECT card to bet at because if he has a weaker ace, he probably thinks he either wins or splits. Unless he ofc has AQ, but I believe I would've heard from that hand already. No stats on the villain.

What's FPS?

Difficult to figure out his range, as he completes and then calls a 5BB raise - in bad position. I think the play is right unless he is in sick shape with A3, 34 or 55.

Fancy Play Syndrome

He isn't questioning whether or not his hand is good (because if it wasn't that is obviously BBV not a real concern).

He is questioning whether or not the turn bet was dumb or not. I think it was pretty bad without a good read on the villain.

I hope you had some kind of read for the turn, because against an unknown I wouldn't do this, but make it 7-11 on turn. I guess your flop bet is okay but I'd be more inclined to pot it.

I don't think you'll get called too much on the river though, because you bet about the same amount all the way and then 5x that on the river, and even my grandma sees through that.

Hate the turn bet. You give the draws very nice immediate odds. If he's calling $3, he is calling $8, which allows you to shove the river.

You should have sized your turn bet to make an AI river bet less than his remaining stack. That would be much more 'brilliant' than the way you played it.

Is betting $3 into a $11 pot a fancy play because I certainly cannot see it being a good play whatsoever. Ive never heard the term "inducing c/r" before. Pot the river too.

The turn bet gets little value too.
