Should I go into great debt for this?
Ok I can't really afford the house I live in but I need help... Maybe psychiatric care
My son is the BIGGEST NBA fan in the world. I have always dreamed of one day surprising him and taking him to a game on the court. Well I am in a position to get 2 courtside tickets to a game. The smart thing to do is wait until after I win the WSOP and take him then. But like I said you can't even buy these tickets. They're sold for years in advance. Even if I deceide to try to get them I may not be able to do it ..... financially. But the question is would you just wait until you could afford something or do you just go for it? Oh I almost forgot the face value on these tickets are $580 each. I don't know if I'll ever get another opprotunity to do this for my son. My thoughts are what if I can get them for $500. Is it worth it then? Help please thanks |

$1k is not that much debt dude [/ QUOTE ] I was kind of embarrassed to ask for opinions I know it's not much to all the balla's out there. But I don't make too much money. I also have 4 kids who take up a lot of my cash with boy scouts, soccer, girl scouts, food etc |

Re: Should I go into great debt for this?
A thousand dollars is an absurd amount to pay for a basketball game. Really ridiculous. That said, a thousand bucks is just a thousand bucks. If your son is as big a fan as you say, this will be a lifelong fond memory.
...I don't have kids, but man, I think I would really regret not doing this for my son. |

Well, one thing to consider is if you do this for your son you've got three other kids you HAVEN'T spent 1k on who will probably be a little jealous.
If it's that much to you, he'll still be impressed with seats a bit higher up. |

1k/52weeks = $20/week.
I don't know how tight things are, but if you have any vice take a year off. IE, skip a few drinks, cook instead of eating out. I think it also depends on how old your son is to determine how much he would appreciate it. |

if you do decide to do it. Make sure to actually enjoy the game, don't worry about how much it costs after you've already paid for the game.
