Default 62 yards

Matt Bryant. Kicking from his own 48 yard line. No time left. BUCS WIN 23-21. Say what you want about Tampa, but we OWN Philly's sports teams.

an article at ESPN says the guy had a ~30% of making it. Doesn't that seem high?

I'm guessing you mean the side bar?

I have no idea how they get those numbers, but 30% is waaaaaaay too high. That's absurd.

It's almost certainly under 10%, probably around 5%.

I think even 5% is too high, but is certainly closer to accurate than 30%.

The kick was with a pretty strong wind, there were several touchbacks in that end zone in the 2nd half. Both kickers were putting the ball 5-7 yards into that endzone on kickoffs. But even if you figure the wind is worth 5-10 yards, I'm still not sure he makes that field goal 30% of the time.

Where do those numbers come from anyway? I think they're FOS. I've never seen them before today.

in practice, I bet he makes it something like 30% of the time. I don't know how many 62 yards field goals have even been attempted in real games, but it's probably so few that you think it's harder than it actually is.
