Default Falcons @ Bengals: Stay Tuned (YTD: 2-1-1 +3.90 Units)

I was at the Falcons game today; there is some information about the game today that will strongly affect my opinion about the game against Cincinnati and I expect there to be a strong play. I'll explain in a little while -- just stay tuned and watch the opening lines when they come out tonight.

Yeah, make sure you don't post it... oddsmakers might get your inside info.

thats exactly what I'm saying...I have a suspicion as to what the line will be and if I'm right, I have a direction I'm going to go. If the line comes out different than I expect, I may not have a play.

I've done this before with success. It is a value-based play based on information that I doubt will be taken into significant consideration in the early line.

OK fine.

This is not inside information. If you were at the game paying attention, you may have noticed. This is all about taking available information and surmising value in a bet. I do it all the time with the teams I follow. If you think that this is an incorrect approach, tell me why rather than flaming.

Why not explain it now? Waiting until after the opening lines are posted and have moved isn't going to be of much help.

I want to see if I could learn more about this situation before I posted it. I also want to find out what I can learn about the Bengals' injury situation.

OK Pinnacle has the Bengals -3.5 -114 and the OU at 43 -105. This is not quite what I was expecting on the side. I was hoping for -3 -110.

Heres what I know. Kynan Forney (Falcons best offensive lineman) re-separated his shoulder. I would venture a guess that he will not play next Sunday. On the last play of the game, when Morton Anderson kicked his field goal, the Falcons' starting left tackle, Wayne Gandy, injured himself in what appears to be a significant way. He was writhing in pain and looking at the tape, he looked like he got bent backwards. With Matt Lehr's suspension continuing, it is very likely that they will be missing 3 or their 5 starting offensive linemen.

A fair line here would be -5 or -6. Take the Bengals early for 2 units at -3.5 -114.

I am also hopeful that the Falcons' primary pass rushing threats, John Abraham and Rod Coleman, will be back next week, which should improve their pass defense; the score should be kept pretty low.

Take the under 43 -110 for 1 unit.

edit: forgot to mention that this game against the Steelers likely took a lot out of them.
