Default Making a move on this scare flop

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (8 handed) internettexasholdem.com

MP2 (t3040)
CO (t4570)
Button (t3075)
SB (t3075)
BB (t1100)
UTG (t820)
UTG+1 (t2285)
Hero (t1785)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
1 fold, UTG+1 raises to t200, Hero calls t200, 3 folds, SB calls t150, BB calls t100.

Flop: (t800) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG+1 bets t200, Hero raises to t800

Now, it goes without saying I fold to a re-raise. Am I taking this down often enough for it to be +EV?

Edit: it's the $5.50 x 45

This is the textbook definition of spewing chips. There's almost no chance that your hand is best on a flop of this texture in a 4-way pot.

Of course my hand isn't best! That's not the question here.

Villain's flop bet looks weak, anyone without a queen is folding here, surely?

Except the times he has a Q. You say you're folding to the re-re-raise. Why even raise in the first place? Your raise of his flop bet suggests you don't have a Queen. Even moreso at these stakes.

I don't think he has a queen that often. There are only two left in the pack, and I don't often see the 1/4 pot bet with trips.

If I take this pot down one time in two, it's +cEV.

Not if you're risking 56% of your stack every time.

You're asking a question about whether you think it's right and when we say it's wrong you argue against us. Why ask the question in the first place if you're going to refute any insight opposed to your view?

In a heads up pot against a player who did not raise preflop and was not in early position, I could do this.

But you've got a lot going against you to do this.

1) Your opponent raised from EP, normally indicative of a strong hand

2) The pot is multiway. There is no way that your sevens beat all three opponents.

3) You're putting more than half your stack on the line for this play that most of the time won't work. You'll be pot committed and practically forced to call.

In a 5.50 45 man tournament people make this call with a Queen, a King, a pair of deuces, ace high and plenty of other random trash hands. There is no way that this is a good spot to make a move.

CityFan,

i would probably call the flop bet, and float here a bit. but if he leads again on the turn i'd lay it down rather quickly.

Good option. But probably not optimal with his stack size. You're reducing your turn options to folding or shoving turn if he checks to you.

Edit: db, that was excessive FPS
