Without a read I might call to see the next card and see how they act, in order to get a read for future plays. That's just how I play. But technically, with some sort of read I would probably fold expecting a set trying to bet draws out of the hand.

Where he called preflop I would say 99, possibly KQ or a loose player A 9-Js

Tiny bet + minreraise = overpair probably no good.
This could be 2 pair, a lucky straight or a set. Only in very rare occasions this could be an AQ (but then the initial bet would've been bigger in most cases), mayyyybeee AK, but AK probably would've reraised preflop.

All in all, this just smells like a monster.

I guess this hand is pretty standard. I really felt like I had some FE and made a terrible read and pushed. Villain won with his flopped straight with KJ. I really thought he was testing me with AQ or something.

Dammit, I'm such a fish when it comes to folding big pairs. Thanks guys

Nasty Flop for a KK I think your right to pop back after that puny bet... but once your reraised you need to get outta there....

Try not to think that your opponents are always making a play or testing you... at these limits the bets normally are what they are...

I used to be terrible for always thinking my opponents where making a play or testing and was a complete sucker for losing a stack with Overpairs and TPTK... but when alot of money is at stake you sometimes need to take a step back and consider if its worth losing a buy in with only 1 pair.. although a good pair.. it is still only 1 pair at the end of the day... and 1 pair only beats a high card or a worse pair.

Most villains need a little more than that to be commiting alot of chips.

What? not deep at all.

I would probably fold to the flop 3-bet.

I think your flop raise is a little light, I'd make it 6ish. I prolly fold to the 3-bet on flop though.
