Only 8 tables?! I guess poker isn't so popular around there, eh? I was considering making the drive from Detroit to check it out, but now I think I changed my mind. Thanks for the info.

Blue Chip’s 8 tables is just the start. Next year the Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo opens the largest land based poker room in the Midwest. Than in 2008 the Horseshoe in Hammond opens a 36 table poker room. The same day Blue Chip opens The Heartland Poker Tour starts at Majestic Star. Add that Resorts East Chicago is the busiest poker room in the Midwest. All within 60 miles.

Canterbury is much busier than Resorts East. Not even close.

Possibly Potawatomi as well.

Peace,

Last year I was at the Canterbury Club for the Fall Classic. What you say is true they had 33 tables running on Saturday night vs Resorts 17 tables. What I should of said was Resorts has more higher limit games going that any other Midwest casino. I heard that last week Resorts had a no limit game with 100/200 blinds. I heard that Potawatomi does not run 10/20 games any more. I did hear that the 600 max no limit game is very good. I hope to make the trip up to Potawatomi in a few weeks.

What's "midwest"? I saw some cowboys at Canterbury in Minnesota, perhaps it's just "west". No way Potawatomi has either higher or more action, than Resorts. Potawatomi is essentially a very low limit room.

That looks like the right spot. Going north on 912 Cline ave. you can see Resorts as you come up to it. Get off a exit 5b. Also note that you will pass Majestic Star at exit 6.

Thanks. I guess the mapping gets confused because it was changed from 777 Harrahs Blvd. to 777 Resorts Blvd. Thanks again.

Hey I'm driving from Milwaukee down to the middle of Indiana (a bit north of Indianapolis) to sell some guy tires on Saturday. I'd like to check out a room between here and there, any suggestions? 1/2 NL or 5/10 - 10/20 limit.
