With Stars FPP changes, I have a new mission....

.... SuperNova this year playing 7-10 tables of 1/2 NL 6max.

Someone tell me how impossible/stupid this is. How hard is 95,000 VPPs going to be at this level in the next 71 days?

Actually, let me figure this out. Approx 1350 VPPs per day.

Only 50% of hands reach $.40 in rake But 16% of hands are raked at least $2.00

So if I play 2,000 hands a day, 34% (700) of them will get me 1 VPP, 16% (320) of them will get me 2 VPP's. A total of 1,340 VPPs a day. Heh that worked out pretty nicely (I so didn't plan that out, I've just been averaging 2,000 hands a day there).

Okay, so if I ca n bump up my play to 2,500 hands, I would have 850 + 800 VPPs, for 1,650 VPPs a day. This should give me a nice cushion to account for a few days off for the holidays.

So, tell me I'm not crazy and this seems doable? I had wanted to do 60,000 hands a month anyways, so bumping it up to 75,000 hands can't be that much harder. The SuperNova benefits seem worth it to me, but maybe they aren't as good as I think?

Any advice/moral support/criticism appreciated. Thanks Lee for making this even remotely possible.

PS - I will probably be moving up to $2/4 NL at some point during this whole thing making it even easier.

you are mistaken. its 40 cents for LIMIT games. no limit still needs $1 rake....

You could earn Supernova, after 100,000 fpps earned, worth about a grand, or you could just play an orbit of 15/30, leave the site for 3 months, and then get a $1000 reload bonus.

Stars gameplan needs work.

Math seems good. ata's numbers from the other thread only have 30.7% earning 1 VPP, 15.7% earning 2 VPPs. So you might be underestimating a bit, but not too much. I need 63k VPPs to hit Supernova, and after I finish my thesis I'll have about 5 weeks to do it. Shouldn't be a problem to get there. It's still only 24.5% RB using ata's numbers, but the fact that Supernova rolls over for the first 6 months of '07 makes it something worth going after.

Before the changes, I would have never even considered going back to Stars.

I was using numbers from my last 5,000 hands. They could be off though and my sample size may be too small.

Um...if you are getting at least 1 VPP on 34% of hands (700) then you are alreadying counting the first VPP for the 16% where you are getting 2vpp. Hence it should be 700+320=1020, not 1340....

he did it right.

He gets 'at least' 1 VPP on 50% of his total hands.
