Default recommend an anti-theft car device

Just had my car stereo stolen today. I left my car unlocked for approx 2 minutes as I went to get something from my condo. It was 4pm in the afternoon.

It makes me hate people in general. It's like the 4th time this has happened to me in the past 4 years.

What's the best anti-theft device? I've already tried to use the 'crappy car, crappy stereo' angle... but this just makes me an 'easy' mark.

...anything that stabs the would-be theif in the face would be most appreciated.

Get a stereo with a removable faceplate.

Recommended anti-theft device: the locks on your car doors.

How does a blank key to a car thats most likely going to break down help this situation?

yes yes.. lock car.. but don't you sometimes think that your car is safe for 2 minutes out on your driveway? At 4pm on a weekday?

FWIW, locking the car didn't help the first 3 times my car got busted into. At least this time I don't have to replace the window.. which costs about as much as the stereo itself.
