Default 400NL: Q-Q facing pressure on the flop

Villan is a standard FullTilt TAG (~23/14/3); I'm new to the table and doubt anyone has a read on me. What's my line on this flop when I get checkraised? Calling seems way too weak with this drawwy board and pushing seems like spewing.

Full Tilt Poker

Stack sizes:
HERO: $518.45
UTG+1: $388.50

yea, i like a call. if turn is a pleasant card, push it to the limit. if not, see what he does and put the pieces together.

I call (felt very weak to me; wondering if it was the right move here)

The turn: 9d.

Villan bets $140??? Like 1/3 pot.

I have no clue if he flopped the nuts or is trying to draw cheap here.

I wish I knew. Just moved up to 400NL. I think I made my hand transparent with the flop call. Can you flat call here?

no, i dont think you can call unless you think he will bluff a missed river with high frequency those times he is drawing.

Looks like he has also has an overpair on the flop. I think I would push turn.

Against a typical 23/14 I'd consider folding the flop. That's not to say I always do, but unless it's a bluff, 77, Ah7h, Ah6h or something like that you are probably way behind. You raised UTG so hoping a 23/14 would c/r 3-way with a lesser pair seems optimistic to say the least. It could be an opportunistic c/r, but you showed no weakness and say you have no real history. In other words, most times you are flipping or way behind - being way ahead a small amount of time and behind but not terribly so if he has 2 pair. No card can make you feel happy about calling a big turn bet unless you hit a Q.

Of course, if you know more about villian or have lots of history it can change things.
